I wanted something that I could learn from, something challenging and entertaining so I started thinking about all of the Linux distrobutions in the world.
SuSE, Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, Damn Small Linux, Slackware and hundreds more.
I sat down on Saturday night and I made comparisons to all of the distrobutions that I've used. I wrote down my likes and dislikes. I
took into considerations the packages, apts, installation, documentation and hardware requirements for each distribution.

Experimenting with Linux
Time and time again we get asked about 'testing' the linux and unix environment.
One option is to gain access to our remote server by asking an administrator to get hands on experience with remote linux operations
but for people with their own personal computer there is easier more accessible options.
